FVOPA Certification Process.

You have reached the Fraser Valley Organic Producers Association Certification Manager. If you already have an account, please login. If you are interested in the certification process, please review the steps and linked information below. Click the “Apply Now” button to get started.

Start Your Application

To begin, you will create an account, choose a username and password and complete your basic profile. This will give you access to your Dashboard where you can begin the application process. Note: the amount of information required in the initial application is significant. Please be assured that annual renewal applications are considerably smaller and we give you the option of populating renewals with your original application data to make it even more convenient.

As a certification body, FVOPA may not counsel applicants on what information they supply in the application therefore should you require assistance with your application please refer to the list of consultants found on the Resources page accessed from your Dashboard.

Pre-inspection Review

The Certification Committee will review your application documents and ensure all fees are paid. Then, we’ll assign you a Verification Officer to undertake an Inspection.

Inspection

The Verification Officer (VO) will review all documentation and data, and conduct a site visit to complete a full inspection and report. This report will be communicated to the Certification Committee.

Post Inspection Review

Post Inspection Follow Up (if applicable)

The Certification Committee will review your Application and the Inspection Report. We’ll send you notes on deficiencies or areas that require your attention in order to continue. Should you meet all requirements, the Certification Committee will approve your application.

Certificate Issued

Once approved by the Certification Committee, your Certificate will be issued. You’ll be notified with confirmation and you will be able to access your Certificate right from your Dashboard. We’ll then send you Renewal reminders in advance of your renewal period.

Timelines for the process vary and are dependent on the completeness of the application submitted, findings during inspection, and resulting follow up.

Failure to provide the necessary documents may results in delays with the certification process.
